Glorious Rain and Indoor Days.

Have I ever told you that I adore rainy days? The crisp yet damp air that swirls all about...the sky painted in bruise colored hues...the soft taps of raindrops knocking on the window.

So fresh and chilly with droplets of diamonds...

My wee garden turtle is enjoying this lovely day...

A single brave daylily has survived the downpours....

Bonzo has found his way to the warmth of a hand-made quilt...

Perfect weather for a cat-nap...

Our other fine furry friends, on the otherhand, are quite bored by now and are eager to get back outside....

Homer

Junior

For those of you "oldie readers" out there, I'm sure you remember that Junior's favorite activity is staring at the ground. He's anxious to get back to work...

I've spent the last several days going through old photos. I found some photos of Gary and myself on Catalina Island taken a few years back. Oh what a lovely day we had and I had actually forgotten about these photos. Such warm memories...

Today, I plan to fiddle around on the computer, watch the rain, dabble in my studio, watch the rain, read, make homemade tacos, listen to the rain, keep my fingers crossed for more thunder, eat tacos, read, sit by the fire and read, listen to rain some more. Now...doesn't that sound like a glorious time?

Until Next Time:

lovely images, thanks for the peeks at your garden, furry friends and memories. THose pic of junior staring at the ground are priceless! I sometimes like the rain, but I so quickly turn to thoughts about what things have been left out in the rain, are the car windows up and 'oh my floors - don't let the dogs in' ! sigh, sometimes I just forget to enjoy and get bogged down in the immediate, it is nice to hear you articulate the joy side :)

Oh, it sounds like a lovely day Kim! Loved the pictures of your garden in the rain and your furbabies, and of course those sweet ones of you with your hubster! Jess is really hard to get a picture of. She hardly ever stands still. Mostly I just get a black and white blur! (although occasionally I do luck in) Have a lovely weekend sweet friend! xxoo

I enjoyed seeing all the photos and a peek into your life and times. The Catalina photos look so inviting as it looks like a beautiful place to visit.
Thanks for the chance to see it all.
I too love rain- especially thunder storms, but strange that as a child I was terrified.

Rainy days are the best when you can just be at home doing whatever you please. Bonzo looks so much like my Miles kitty! They could be brothers. Aren't yellow tabbies the best!?

Oh such lovely rains and a sweet kitty! :) Thank You so much for your lovely and thoughtful comment to my last postlet, by the way! I'm SO overjoyed that you found such a delight in the Edwardians! I need to revisit those particular films...I think a dose of time travel may be in store soon! :) I could spend all day pouring over old pictures and films!!

Thank You again!
Your kindness is beyond measure!
