Okay ~ One More Time With the Give-Away...

Hello There:

I can't believe I'm doing this again so soon.  I'm trying another give-away, but it will only run from now through tomorrow evening, Sunday August 28 at 7:00 pm pacific time.  The winner will be chosen at random and will be given the opportunity  to choose any two (4" x 6") prints from my Zibbet shop.  You don't need to have an account with Zibbet, it just happens to be the place where you can view my "inventory" of 4" x 6" prints.

The reason I'm hosting another give-away so soon after the last is because I have changed some settings on my blog.  I was finally able to speak with someone at blogger that, I think, actually straightened out my situation.  You see, over the last year or so, folks would come over to my blog, read it and try to leave a comment.  They weren't able to leave a comment, so they weren't able to participate in my give-aways.   This is really an experiment, and I'm hoping that the "comment situation" has finally been resolved.  If not, my give-aways will be hosted on my facebook page from now on.

So....if you'd like to play, please leave a comment.  If you are unable to leave a comment, then please...email me and let me know what your experience was when trying to use the comment form.

And The Winner Is...

I'm am terribly sorry that it's taken me so long to get back to announce the winner of the vintage photo give-away.  This is the 2nd give-away I've hosted that has been overcome with problems.  For some reason, none of my blog friends from Typepad were able to leave comments.  I thought I had the problem fixed, as I went 'round and 'round with blogger about the situation at the last give-away.

Anyway....the number chosen was 5 ~ Amy!

I have lots of news to share with you....all of it good!!  Yay!  But, I'm off for a day of errands and photo snapping.

Time for a give-away...

Hello There:

As most of you know, I have a large collection of vintage photos.  I was having a look through my photos this weekend and came across this lovely, sepia tone folder photo of a handsome young man playing violin.  I would guess it was snapped somewhere around 1910.  I have several original copies of this photo.  So...I thought I would share some of this vintage, violin goodness with my blog friends by hosting a give-away.



The brown photo folder measures approximately 10-1/2" x 8-1/4" when closed. 

Included in the give-away is also a 5" x 7" print of my watercolor/collage piece entitled: "June Plays", from the "Eyes of June" series.  If you'd like to read more about June and her Hollywood story, please click HERE.

October Give-Away ~ UPDATED

Good Morning:

Just a quick note to let you know that I am going to keep the give-away going for another few days. Something is terribly wrong with my blogger account and many people weren't able to leave a comment. I'm working through the problem with blogger...so, until I know exactly what's going on, I'll keep the contest up. Unfortunately only 13 people were able to leave comments. 2 of which I left for them. Hmmmm...

Looks like it's that time again ~ time for another give-away. Oh how I love doing give-aways. It's always nice to sell and show your art, but giving it away is something that truly makes me feel, somehow, worthwhile! Maybe I can bring a brief bit of happiness into someone's day when the mail arrives....opening up their mailbox to find a pleasant surprise instead of the daily bills and junk mail!

So, in honor of the spooky-ish Halloween season, I've decided to offer 6 ACEO prints that all have a dark or eerie feel about them. For those of you who may not know about ACEOs...they are collectible, small format art. They can be any medium or theme, but they must adhere to the size requirement of 2-1/2" x 3-1/2". They are the same size as a standard trading card.

All you have to do is leave a comment in the comment section. The winner will be chosen at random by my personal randomizer...my daughter Ava.

The give-away will run until October 10, Sunday evening 6:00 p.m. Pacific time. The winner will be announced the morning of Monday, October 11.
